Mick McCarthy knows Wolves face a must-win game this weekend if they want to ensure they avoid relegation from the Premier League.
 
After a long and tightly fought campaign it has come down to five teams battling to avoid dropping out of the Premier League on the final day of the season.
 
Wolves have done themselves a massive favour in their battle to avoid Premier League relegation by recording back-to-back wins over West Brom and Sunderland, meaning they have climbed out of the bottom three but are only safe by one point. The Premier League best odds show they still have some work to do.
 
They face Blackburn, who are only a place ahead of them and level on points, at Molineux on the final day of the season knowing a victory would assure they retain their top flight status.
 
A draw or loss means they need to rely on results from elsewhere going in their favour, as Wigan Blackpool and Birmingham are all capable of leapfrogging them if they get three points.
 
McCarthy has seen a lot during his years in management and even he admits there are "so many permutations" in the Premier League relegation battle and Wolves need to be careful as they are facing a side who are also desperate for three points.
 
The manager stated: "Let's take care of our game, that's what I keep saying. If we do that, then no one can do anything about it. We've just got to win our game.
 
"Our game has turned out to be the crucial one. Ours is a winner-takes-all game and the others are must-wins for the teams involved at the bottom."
 
What could go in Wolves' favour is the fact that Premier League relegation rivals Blackpool and Birmingham face daunting trips to Manchester United and Spurs on the final day of the season. Anyone following the football betting will know how tough these games will be.
 
Both teams are capable of pulling off a shock however, while Wigan could beat Stoke, which ensures Wolves need to go for all three points to ensure they are the masters of their own destiny and avoid Premier league relegation.
