Marco Di Vaio continued his resurgent form in Bologna’s 2-2 with Serie A giants Milan. Di Vaio opened the scoring for Bologna when he got on the end of a lobbed through ball and chipped goalkeeper Amelia. Milan struck back with a goal from Clearance Seedorf who fired a shot from outside the box. Marco Di Vaio would hit the post before Bologna were wrongfully denied a penalty just before half time. Replays show that Clarence Seedorf clearly handled the ball in the box, but Bologna were denied of going ahead just before half time.
Bologna continued to frustrate Milan in the second half before Milan were controversially given a penalty in the 70th minute when Ibrahimovic went down easy in the area. Big Zlatan went on to put the penalty away to put Milan in front. The lead did not last long as moments later Alessandro Diamanti struck the ball from outside the box past Amelia to make it 2-2. The goalkeeper should have done better, but Diamanti did well to get off the strike with his opposite foot.
The result was a little harsh on Bologna who should have come away with the three points. The Rossablu will have taken a point at the start of the game and it’s a point that takes them further away from the relegation zone. Marco Di Vaio seems to have regained his form with 3 goals in his last 3 matches which has yielded 5 points for his side. Milan dropped to 3rd in the table 2 points behind Udinese and level on points with Lazio. Next up for Bologna is Genoa away, while Milan host Siena.
