Puma Football launched their latest product in Barcelona, Spain today, their Puma evoPOWER boot.  The evoPOWER is a new performance boot designed to enhance a player’s natural kicking ability, while optimizing their power and accuracy.

Puma have been publicly testing the boot around the world through various players and the feedback has been incredibly positive.  Even Mario Balotelli preached about the boots’ performance. “I’m new to the Puma family, and the football boots they produce were one of the reasons for me signing the deal.  The evoPOWER boot impressed me from the first day I tried it in training, I hadn’t really seen a boot like it before.  That Puma say about is true, the flexibility helps create a better contact with the ball and generate really good shooting power.”

The natural foot is something that keeps coming up in talks about this boot.  Tests were made and the facts prove that the bare foot generates a more powerful kick than a booted foot because of the non-restricted flexibility.  Of course, anyone who has played beach soccer or bare-foot footy can tell you, the accuracy with shooting with a naked foot is poor.  The evoPOWER has this thing called the Gradual Stability Frame which basically allows the foot to bend freely, getting the boot as close to the biometrics of the bare foot as possible.  Plus, this AccuFoam insert that is located on the upper, helps to create a smooth kicking surface to harness all this power generated through  the boot.

Cesc Fabregas has been tested these boots out for the past month while playing for Barcelona.  “They are so much more flexible; the way they bend with the natural shape of your foot really helps you to shoot harder.”

Shooting from distance is a key part of my game, in open play and free kicks.  Having a boot that maximizes power in these instances is necessary to help you capitalize on these moments, and this evoPOWER boot gives me a lot of confidence.  I like the thought behind it and have tested it a lot. You can feel a genuine difference – so much so, it actually surprised me.  This is a very exciting new boot Puma has created.
