The summer transfer window is closed. Juventus has added some new parts but it seem like the same old bait and switch. We want Kun or Rossi and we get Vucinic. We want Bastros or Vargas and we get Elia. Elia is young, quick and inexperienced. Is he worth €9 million? I sure hope so. The Old Lady are certainly contenders for the quickest wingers in the world now with Krasic and Elia. In no means am I being pessimistic, I just feel Juventus is missing that one player who will put the team on his back and get a result. Del Piero can only do so much. Juventus also picked up Marcelo Estigarribia on loan. The Paraguay international adds youth and depth to the left wing.  He is an unknown. The only action I have seen of him was in Copa America. He only has an upside. The best news of the day was that the Brazilian/Italian soap opera star Amauri will stay at Juventus. I am glad Juventus are paying this guy only for his long locks because he is useless in the black and white.

I am tired of the endless talk about what Juventus needs or want. The time has come to show up to the pitch and get it done. Without European football, Juventus should be serious contenders for the Scudetto and Copa Italia. It will come down to Conte getting his troops up for every game and putting the pressure on the Milan clubs.
