The title says it all. The Prince of Darkness returns to the mic to dole out his dark views on the footballing world. For the first time in a long time, we have someone on the show who absolutely adores Manchester United, and not because they are the Yankees of the football. It is a true pleasure to welcome back Howard Rogers to the World Football Daily studio. Many of the “old school” listeners will remember Howard from the old days. He is back in the States for about 6 weeks after spending the past 18 months of teaching in China.

Howard in studio meant that Steven was taking the day off. No worries though, the game goes on and so does the show. Kenny and Howard start the show off today discussing the most recent transfers and rumors of moves for various clubs, especially focusing on Edin Dzeko. Kenny reminded Howard that they really fancied the Bosnian back before Howard left for China, claiming that they knew how strong and talented the player was over a year ago. After the silly season transfer talk, Howard moved the conversation on to the Chelsea-bashing segment which lasted a good ten minutes, much to the disdain of our Assistant Producer James who loves his Blues. Howard refered to Daniel Sturridge as “waste of $20 million pounds in a blue shirt”.

Eventually the ranting and raving would have to end and the boys moved on to our guests. There is no better way to brighten up the show than by having the lovely, incredibly knowledgeable and opinionated Rebecca Lowe of ESPN UK. Of course she is a fan favorite, as well as a personal favorite of mine, but Howard shows a bit of extra love because of her personal friendship with the manager of Manchester United, Alex Ferguson.

The three discussed all things football in the Premiership and England in general, including Rebecca's favorite club, Crystal Palace. Kenny actually put her on the spot when he asked Ms. Lowe if there was a transfer that she'd really like to see go thru during this January transfer window. Rebecca replied, “I'd love to see David Beckham go on loan to Palace for me”. Although slightly joking, she didn't seem to care about the bigger rumors swirling about in the top division.

Next we brought on Eric Howell from the Followtonian Podcast and Followtonians.com. Eric and his co-host, Ped McPartland, recently had on Landon Donovan of the LA Galaxy to talk about the time he spent on Merseyside with the Toffees. Not a fan favorite for simple novelty, Donovan added a new dimension to Everton while he was there and unlike his other attempts at football in the top flight across Europe, Landon made an incredibly positive impact while player for the blue side of Liverpool. Howard and Kenny didn't want to simply focus on the past of David Moyes' side, and discussed the hardships of an Everton club who have struggled to find their footing in the Premiership this season thanks to a handful of injuries to an already thin squad. With Moyes' saying that the Toffees were not looking to spend any cash in the January transfer window, the second half of the season looks like a true uphill battle for Everton.

It was quite refreshing to have a different (slightly darker) perspective on game in Howard Rogers and we will more than likely bring him back in to the studio for a couple more guests appearances in the next six weeks. That means you should stay tuned into the show to catch every minute.

We bring on Followtonians Podcast's host Ped McPartland onto our show tomorrow to get the reaction to the Landon interview from across the pond. Ped is a Liverpool native who got their recent interview played on the BBC Merseyside Radio. We also will have an epic interview with US Soccer Legend, Taylor Twellman. And since the Italian Serie A gets back into the swing of things, we bring on Kris Voakes to preview this weekend's matches.
