Show Recap
So much to say, but we're going to leave it to the pod to get it all out. Our guest for the day is a dear friend of ours who used to work here in North America for Fox Soccer, but has taken his talents back overseas to the UK where Eoin O'Callahan has been covering football still, but expanded his horizons to various other sports. We get to talk about the Champions League with Eoin today, reflecting back at the Manchester City loss to Barcelona and trying to sort out what the Citizens could have done better to combat the perennial powerhouse that is FCB. We also get the shortest response ever from Eoin when we discuss PSG's domination of Bayer Leverkuensen last night in Germany. Then, it's on to tonight's matches where Arsenal host the German giants Bayern Munich and AC Milan host Atletico Madrid in the first ever meeting between the two. And since it's going on and we're fans of sport in general, Eoin and Ollie squeeze in a little Olympic discussion. Rafa also comes on to talk about the Donkey of a defender that is Martin Demichelis, but still manages to praise City in their play yesterday. Rafa also stands up for Manuel Pellegrini for his open criticism of the referees in Tuesday night's match. You'll have to have a listen to the show for the full explanation.
