Show Recap |
It's the Tuesday edition of World Football Daily and there is more football than you can shake a stick at today. Let's start things off with our guest who is the first Spanish football correspondent we've had in a while. Joseph Sexton joins the program to talk about the King's Cup and Atletico Madrid's chances in the return leg against Real Madrid tonight. The Madrid derby seems a little out of reach for Atletico, but the last time they beat Real by four goals was when Luis Aragones was in charge. So maybe, just maybe, the heavens may be looking down on Atletico to help them out a little. Joseph also looks at the shock losses that Atletico have managed to rack up in recent play, but they still manage to be atop la Liga. We look at the transfer window moves made by Atletico and the rest of la Liga, before looking at the other side of the Copa del Rey tomorrow. Sexton also looks at the strange story of Karim Benzema who recently reached the same scoring tally as the Original Ronaldo.
Rafa comes on the program to play some IKTS with Ollie as we look at the mid week fixtures from the English Premier League. Once again, Rafa has a couple interesting perspectives on consistency and potential upsets in the matches today and tomorrow. Before that though, Ollie gets us lost in Copa Libertadores as we discuss the disappointing style of play coming from Argentinian football. This wander into South American football sets off a tremendous debate between Ollie and Rafa as to whether or not Ronaldinho would be able to slot in to the current Swansea City starting 11. We end up posting a poll which can be found on the home page of World Football Daily so make sure you give us your opinion and then write in with your reasoning. Thanks for listening as always and we appreciate all the facebook messages, tweets and emails. |
