Welcome back to the Monday edition of World Football Daily. So much to kick about today, we just jump right into it. Our guest for the day is Goal.com's US International writer, Allen Ramsey. We get Allen's report card for the US through this Gold Cup and we get his thoughts on who really stood out for the Yanks and who may have played their way into the 2014 World Cup Squad. We also get Allen's opinion of the competition that the US faced and whether or not this tournament victory is something to be proud of or something we should have walked away with regardless. Rafa comes on the show to give his opinion of the Americans' performance and he goes on about how Clint Dempsey should be dropped for the remainder of the World Cup Qualifiers in an attempt to humble the star into incredible form, ala Landon Donovan's recent sabbatical. Rafa and Ollie also look at just how real the Bale move to Madrid is looking and the tremendous performance of Borussia Dortmund over rivals and global giants, Bayern Munich. And lets not forget about the slap heard round the world. (No, we're not talking about Reina's slap in the face from LFC.) |
