It's the Tuesday edition of World Football Daily and the International Break really heats up tonight. Our guest for the day is Allen Ramsey, US international journalist covering the US Men's National team. First things first, we get Allen's review of what happened in Scotland where the Americans provided a very boring 0-0 result. Was there anything we could take from the match at all? We also look ahead to tonight's match against Austria. Surely, the Americans should be able to dispatch of the Austrians in Austria. After beating a team like Italy in Italy recently, you would have thought that Jurgen's men could easily handle Scotland and Austria, but what sort of expectations do US Soccer fans have as their team preps for Brazil 2014. Rafa comes on the program to talk about a number of things with Ollie, but kicking things off with the massively impressive Italy vs. Nigeria friendly which took place at Craven Cottage in London. Entertaining 2-2 draw would be an understatement. This friendly, along with the Argentina v Bosnia-Herzegovina match at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, brings up the discussion of playing international fixtures in neutral stadiums. Do you approve of such a thing? Can you understand why a Brazil or other nations would do such a thing? And finally, Ollie and Rafa talk a bit about the African World Cup Qualifiers and how entertaining they should be. So enjoy this podcast and join in the discussion. |
