Midweek is here and Wednesday brings a ton of football to review from the international break. Our guest for the day is Goal.com's Eric Gomez who joins us from Mexico City to talk some happier news from a Mexican perspective. The last few times we've had Eric on the program, it's been just after the sacking of one of the national team managers and not necessarily in the happiest of times. This appearance though, we find Eric and Mexico in much happier times having finally booked their ticket to Brazil 2014. A hat trick in New Zealand helped to lift the Mexicans well over their competition, but does this mean the national squad has made the turn around and will prove to be the Mexico of old that we all want to see inspire their country? We also try to and get Eric's thoughts on the drab affair in Austria. Then Rafa comes in to give his two pence on the US game, basically saying that the Americans are good enough to know when a game matters and when they are under no pressure whatsoever and therefore they played down to their competition. Then Ollie shares his experience and how he enjoyed England at Wembley. There is so much more we covered in today's show so you'll have to listen in. |
