On the Monday edition of World Football Daily, we welcome you back with the promise of Champions League football returning to our televisions this week. We can all rejoice in the return of midweek football because after seeing the results at the weekend, most of the European League titles look locked up. Our first guest on the show is joining us live from Madrid. Tim Stannard of FourFourTwo's La Liga Loca column reflects on the brilliance of yet another hat-trick performance from Cristiano Ronaldo as Real Madrid get ready to host Manchester United this Wednesday. Barcelona also look strong, whipping their competition at the weekend in preparation for their chance to knock out AC Milan in the Round of 16. Valencia seem to befuddle both Juice and Tim when they lock with PSG tomorrow, so all the more reason to watch. Rayo Vallecano, Malaga, Espanyol and more all mentioned with Tim. Next, we jump to the Premiership with Will Tidey of the Bleacher Report. A man with tremendous knowledge of Sir Alex and his Red Devils, Will waxes poetic on the legendary career of Ryan Giggs. There is no reason to worry about it, United have already locked up the title and even the bookies say so. We still have Champions League football to look forward to though and Will helps us preview some of the Matches. Paul Lambert, Charles N/Zogbia, and Simon Dawkins all make appearances in show as well! Did we mention Champions League has returned?? |
