Show Recap
On what some might call a slow day of football news, we here at World Football Daily never falls short on topics to kick about on the show. In fact, our guest for the day is Tim Vickery, legendary BBC South American football correspondent, who joins Ollie to wrap up all the South American World Cup Qualifying action from the last week. We discuss who has booked their places to Brazil 2014, talk about the hosts who seem in fine form under Scolari, and touch on the prolific stars shinning through the Qualification process. We even try to squeeze in a bit of Brazilian club football as well. Then Rafa comes on and the show takes an interesting turn to Egypt and the emotions being shared by American soccer fans for the former US boss. From there, Ollie takes the discussion to England and the racism story that has come out today involving Roy Hodgson's potentially offensive half-time talk, including a terribly timed joke involving a monkey. geez. Join in the kick about.
