Monday is here and Ollie and Rafa get to talk together again! On air at least because the two have shared several tweets, texts, emails and messages on facebook while Ollie has been busy in Birmingham. Plenty to discuss from the weekend and so much to catch up on from the two so unfortunately, we get caught trying to re-live it all. The boys debate the Brazuca ball and how cool it is. Then we hear about what the guys thought of the MLS Cup Final, without beating the event to death because our guest for the day is on to talk about the Final. Some impressive results from the Premier League with Martinez only helping to grow the Everton side that Moyesie built, where Manchester United seem to be heading in the opposite direction. Rafa covers the guest for the day with Ollie needing to jet set to another gig later this evening. (Greek Football) Our guest for the day is ESPN FC writer and American soccer journalist Jeff Carlisle. Jeff was in KC for the final and reported on the match for ESPN who also covered the event on television. Rafa is fixated on the complaints he hears from people regarding the whether of the final, so the boys talk a bit of whether and football before they actually talk about the game. Jeff and Rafa reflect on who had more pressure on their shoulders heading into Saturday's final, before jumping on to whether or not Jason Kreis will leave, whether he will have left RSL better than he found it and whether or not he could have taken them any further. Finally, Jeff and Rafa argue over man of the match performances with Jeff and several of his colleagues in attendance voting for Kyle Beckerman. We wrap up the Final in a nice little holiday package for you before closing it up with Jeff, asking his opinion on the US' World Cup Draw. |
