Show Recap
We take a lot of pride in our Monday programs, primarily because there is so much football to kick about after a weekend full of results. This Monday is no different and the stories are all over the globe. We start things off with our guest of the day, Steve Tongue, sports writer for the Independent. Steve helps us go over some of the bigger stories from the weekend in the Premiership, including both Liverpool fans and Norwich fans calling for their managers to be sacked. Understandably, the Norwich position is a tough one to hold down, but completely disgraceful to hear LFC supporters calling for Brendan Rogers to be fired when you look at their current form and place in the league table. Sure, losing to the Arsenal is ridiculous, but Rogers deserves more than that. Being based in London, we also touch on the Spurs' decision to let Lloris stay in the game after being knocked out by the knee of Lukaku. Then it's on to what ever Champions League news we can squeeze in as it pertains to the British clubs. Rafa also makes his appearance on the program and confesses that he turned off the Dynamo v Red Bulls match because he thought it was over, completely neglecting what he said on Friday. We also talk about the soft Sounders who end up heading to Portland this week a goal behind in the aggregate score line. And finally, we read an email from a disgruntled RSL supporter who says enough is enough with Jason Kreis at Rio Tinto. We give you our take on the Salt Lake boss, but what's yours. Join in the discussion and listen in to WFD.
