Show Recap
It's the midweek show here at World Football Daily and there is a lot of football on the plate for us to gorge ourselves with. Chelsea get knocked out of the League Cup at the hands of Sunderland, City breeze by the Foxes while United and Spurs gear up for their Cup football tonight. Bayern Munich stepped up as European Champs to dominate in their Club World Cup showing last night. Our guest for the day takes us to Paris where we meet up with Jonathan Johnson, French football writer for the likes of ESPNFC and French Football Weekly. We take a quick look into Ligue 1 to catch up where we need, reviewing some of the results from the weekend and trying to suss out whether there are any real challengers for PSG, or is now a battle for runner's up spot. Plus, we look at the Champions League draw for PSG and talk about French football in Europe in general this season. Rafa comes on to talk a little bit of football commercials with Ollie. Ollie brings up the Galaxy11 team that Samsung are punting all over the web and the boys pick apart the commercial more then they probably should. The two also discuss Adebayor's clean slate at Spurs, Liverpool's chances to win the Premier League, and the disastrous decision Seattle made when they let Eddie Johnson leave for DC United. And Sounders are not stopping there. So press play and start to enjoy some quality football talk.
