It's the final show of the week here at World Football Daily. Although we used to check out on Europa League match days, especially after such massive showings from the Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday, but last night brought with it some tremendous football and goals galore. So what do we do? We bring on European football writer and encyclopedia, Andy Brassell to review as many of the matches as we can from Thursday night. We get incredible insight on Spurs' current tie with Olympic Lyon, reviewing some incredible goals from both squads. Andy also looks ahead to the weekend in Ligue 1 as well as PSG may have their latest signing David Beckham make an appearance in the line up. Then, after Andy, we get a real treat in Portland Timbers new coach, Caleb Porter who is doing his best to bring a winning culture to the club. We hear why Porter made the decision to go to Portland over other offers he received, and we also hear what Caleb has to say about the College soccer system in the States and how it affects the development of US players. Plenty more, including what the battle of the Pacific Northwest will mean to the new coach so stay tuned in and apologies for such a long show... Enjoy the football this weekend. |
