Show Recap
He's Back! Yes, Oliver is back from his extended American Holiday which saw him in New York and New Jersey over the Super Bowl weekend. And now that he is back we happily put him straight to work. Ollie dives right into with our first guest, French football writer and contributor to various media outlets like Goal.com and more, Robin Bairner joins the program to catch us up on all that we've missed since the last time we've spoke. First things first, we jump into the Coupe de la Ligue where PSG continue their overall dominance of any opposition in their way. Zlatan seems to score wonder goals every other game his is playing in and this week was no different. The final is set with the Parisian giants taking on familiar foes Lyon as Bafetimbi Gomis getting the goal that put his side through. So we look ahead to what we can expect when these two teams clash in the final in a few week's time. We also look ahead to Ligue 1 action which kicks off tomorrow, previewing the matches to watch and what to let slide. We also discuss the transfer window and the move that never came to be with Clement and his agent deciding against the move to Newcastle. And are people finally turning sour grapes over Financial Fair Play and how it pertains to PSG? Robin explains it all.

Then Rafa joins the program to welcome back Ollie properly. Yes, we take a little bit of time to relive the dream vacation Ollie experience while here in the States, taking in the sights and sounds of NYC/NJ. But the boys quickly turn to business as Ollie came home to the terrible news of Michael Laudrup being sacked by Swansea City. Sure there were some massive rumors swirling around the club and it's manager, but Ollie argues that Laudrup could have taken this team even further than the League Cup success they found last season. We jump around a bit from there, talking a little bit about the Kim Kalstrom transfer from Arsenal, the relief that Atletico Madrid might have being able to bow out of the Copa del Rey, and we pay our respect to Luis Aragones again... because you really cannot over do it for this guy. Ollie and Rafa kick about the idea of Miami FC and David Beckham's influence on a city which is probably the toughest to succeed in when it comes to professional sport. It's really a love-fest here today though. So tune in and know that normality is restored. This is World Football Daily.
