Thursday is here at World Football Daily and unfortunately, Ollie is in transit to New York for the Super Bowl so he won't be joining us today. Rafa steps in to deliver a shorten show today to review some of the major talking points from the midweek football. The theme of the show is the Strong get Stronger and the weak are whatever. Starting off talking about the incredible finish to Bayern Munich's match last night where Pep's men left it late to come away with the result with Pizarro grabbing the late tying goal after being subbed on for the disgruntled and want-away Toni Kroos before Alcantara nailed an unbelievable injury time winner with a must-see bicycle kick. Then we talk about the utter dismantling of Spurs at the hands of the potential Quadruple winners Manchester City. Next, we head to Barcelona where Rafa swears the distractions off the pitch are what the players on the pitch needed to get their game back. Then we give Juice a little bit of credit for his West-Midlands Derby which can be argued as an entertaining match, but Rafa could care less. He wraps up the show with the news of LA Galaxy's USL Pro division side and what sort of impact that will have on US Soccer in general. Could he be stretching the realm of possibility here?? Maybe. But the argument is compelling nonetheless. |
